Durch den flächigen Druck von festen Platten auf das strukturierte Papier entstand ein transluzenter Farbauftrag. – Blockbuchbindung. – »Physically Ken Campbell is a substantial presence. With proper training in younger days he might have been a fighter. Sometimes when I am talking to him, reading his books, or even exchanging emails, it feels like he is jabbing at me, springing lightly, and then dodging elusively when I ask questions he doesn’t want to answer. Printed letterpress on Zerkall Gehämmert paper, Chinese folded, in multiple inks, some metallic; some tints produced by handwiping, some pages varnished. Text and illustration composed of type and type ornaments. Printing from solids on the hammered peaks of the paper surface, and varnishing of these pages, allows the resulting translucence to blend the colours printed on each side of the paper.
Typography and images composed of 12 pt Bembo italic, Gill Sans extrabold, border materials, 6-point rules and raised mounting blocks.
