Das erste der sechs römisch nummerierten Exemplare des Verfassers, wie die 25 Vorzugsexemplare auf Velin d’Arches, mit einer Radierung als Frontispiz und einer dreifachen Suite von allen sechs Zinkographien, gedruckt in Gelb, Rot und Blau. – Im Druckvermerk von Verfasser und Künstler signiert, Picassos Signatur in Rot. – Die gedruckte Widmung »a celle qui ne s’y reconnaît ra pas« ergänzte Hugnet eigenhändig um »son exemplaire« und schrieb darunter ein langes Zitat von Théophile de Viau. – Mit der in Rot gedruckten originalen Bauchbinde mit dem Vorwurf der titelgebenden Blume an den Dichter: »Vous ecrivez en vers libres parce que c’est moins difficile« und dem Einlageblatt mit Anmerkungen »Pour Georges Hugnet« von Paul Eluard. – So wohl Unikum. – »This is a curois and experimental series of prints Picasso created to accompany the surrealist poems of Georges Hugnet.« (R. The first of the author’s six Roman-numbered copies, like the 25 deluxe copies on Arches wove paper, with an etching as frontispiece and a triple suite of all six zincographs, printed in yellow, red, and blue. – Signed in the colophon by the author and artist, Picasso’s signature in red. – Hugnet added „son exemplaire“ to the printed dedication „a celle qui ne s’y reconnaît ra pas“ and wrote a long quotation from Théophile de Viau below it.
Spine of chemise faded. – Minimal foxing in places. – The flaps of the belly band torn. – One suite page with narrow edge defects.
