Jede Suite in einem Umschlag mit der zweifarbigen Lithographie, die auch für den Schuber verwendet wurde, ein weiterer Abzug liegt bei. – Druckvermerk vom Künstler signiert. – Das Buch erschien als Band II der Reihe »Écrits et gravures«. – »In 1935, Madame Paul Guillaume asked Max Jacob to contribute an account of the years 1900–1930 to be used as the introduction to a book she wanted to publish in the memory of her husband. These reminiscences, written in 1935-36, were published under the title ›Chronique des temps héroïques‹, well after Max Jacob’s death in 1944, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of his birth. In this Chronique Jacob writes of the Futurists, the Surrealists, the ›Lapin Agile‹, of his two great friends, Apollinaire and Picasso, and, of course, of Paul Guillaume, the dealer in African art. For this posthumous tribute to his friend, Picasso made 3 drypoints, all done on September 7, 1956.« (Goeppert/Cramer). – Sehr selten mit der doppelten Suite, die im Druckvermerk nicht erwähnt wird und Goeppert/Cramer unbekannt blieb. – Buch und Suiten sehr gut erhalten.
